Sex ed’ but make it queer
Durex
Campaign Partnership
It’s not sex ed’ if it's not inclusive. Chances are your sex education was pretty uninformative. Leading with abstinence and reproduction. The fact is sexual education historically continues to fail. Leaving out the beauty of our fluidity across a diverse spectrum of sexual identities and experiences, leaving many feeling unseen or unheard.
Durex stepped in to amplify voices and give people a resource they can look to that speaks to them instead of trying to silence experiences out of existence.
As a queer woman, I was excited to be developing a resource for and by our community. I aimed to create a safe, inclusive space to explore sexuality, safety, and positivity, from the workshops to filming. By making it less formal and understanding the intersections of our talent's identities, I facilitated honest and thoughtful discussions with lovely advice.
All the workshops and shoots helped inform my approach to thoughtful content creation to reflect and celebrate the diverse experiences within the LGBTQ+ community.
This campaign was more than just content. It was a social responsibility campaign to foster authenticity, education, and representation to help feel empowered to explore unique experiences.
